KOF98UMOL North American Release!

The game is out now on iOS and android for North American countries for example Canada USA Mexico. This time it is easily available on the App Store and Google Play. In fact it’s been about 22 days, but I’m sure you know that because you follow the @comic_fighter Twitter.

So mechanics of the game or switch around mostly the diamond in the way you get it and use your diamonds. The USA team is available from the start. The English was just about the same as the other countries, It uses the non-Japanese graphics for some of the characters.

My biggest gripe is that I can’t use Hands of Midas 10 times a day without VIP. I’m only allowed three times. A second gripe would have to be in the arena, you have to wait 30 seconds before being able to skip a fight. However, it went down to 10 as I progressed in the game.

I still enjoy the game. So now I am playing the Japanese version, Micronesian version, and the American version. It is fun for me since I can play different teams, on different servers, with different restrictions, instead of having multiple accounts on the same version.

The north American version was released on google play before iOS. So naturally I played it on android first and had to register my account in the game with Facebook. There is no email account login! When the iOS version came out I was unable to login with my iPhone. Although the game offers you a chance to switch accounts, it hasn’t been useful for me. It looks like I will have to contact customer service.
OK so now I will look for the links to post in here!

How to play KOF98UMOL

When I had started playing KOF98UMOL, the game in Japanese.
I got it off the Japanese Apple App Store, since I primarily use an Iphone as my main phone.
There are different versions of the game including Korean, and English to name a few.
I found that there is a South East Asian version of the game that is in English for the IOS but I was not able to download it.
The SEA version I found available on the app store was from Singapore and required a credit card from that region to purchase.
However, the Android version was much easier to aquire. A simple download did the job.
So I ordered a cheap phone, the Alcatel Aspire+ to be exact and loaded the game up.
Now that I can play an English version of the game, I do not see any point in editing/translating images now.
Using my Iphone, pointed downward at the Android phone, I made a few walkthrough videos, and will be making more.
Check em out and feel free to like the vids, ask questions, and subscribe.

KOF 98 UM OL – Top Left Corner Section

Here is an easy section to go over 1st.

That 1st part the Notice section simply lists upcoming and current events. It says things like server maintenance and such.

The Twitter Icon simply opens up a browser and takes you to the games twitter page. https://twitter.com/kof98umol
The next part is LOBI, hit it and it takes you to LOBI, which is some sort of gaming message board type community. https://web.lobi.co/game/kof98_ourpalm
In the CHAT section, if you hit that it opens up a chat window inbox, however there is a 2nd chat below this section as well.

Then after that there is the friends section, there is some cool stuff there.

Then the last section is Mail, this is where you get a bunch of awards. You get awards/rewards for all kinds of things.

How to play King of Fighters 98 UM OL

Get the game for your mobile device. It is available in languages other than Japanese but not English right now. So you go to your respective App store and download it. I am not going to cover the Line installation because I do not have a Japanese Line account.

On the KOF98UMOL main Japanese page there are links to iOS and Google.
After installation and launch, the game may update before you start to play. In that case, there is a Shermie mini game.

The game has a somewhat long tutorial. Characters will pop up and guide you and tell you what to press to advance the story and game. The game is a lot of targeting, pressing and timing.
Just pushing the buttons targeted will get you until about Level 10 before you can start to freely play the game.

As you progress through the game and leveling up various things will unlock. For example, but not in order: leveling up character, boosting stats of character and equipment, shops, bonus type states and dailies. The game has all kinds of achievements and rewards. This actually makes the game easy to play without paying. There are rewards for leveling up, logging in, powering up, beating a level, etc.

When you play the stages and beat up an enemy you get all kinds of misc drops. Cash, scrolls, materials, treasures, cards, medals, car parts. These are all crucial for leveling up your guys and getting cash. Generally speaking, the scrolls are the only thing worth selling. Most odd parts are automatically sold when you enter the store.

Right now I am playing through the game for a 2nd time because my previous phone died. I plan on breaking down the individual sections of the game because there are so many of them.
